Sunriver Resort

This past weekend we spent with our good friends Jessica & Ryan and their little girl Kylie in Sunriver. Kylie is two weeks younger then Conner but definitely the leader!! It was great to have Conner around someone his own age! We had a splendid time! Jay and I have not had that much fun in a long time. It was the most relaxing trip.
Conner always followed Kylie's lead!

Sunriver has the NW's largest gingerbread display and they were all pretty amazing!

Our son is not a fan of the snow, or at least snow boots and pants. He cried the entire time we were outside. I thought he might cry it out but that didn't happen. He barely moved and anytime Jessica or I would get close to him he would just stomp his feet!

A rare moment of silence.

Kylie loved the snow!

He was pooped from being outside, or better yet pooped from crying.

They shared alot of snacks together.

We had a wonderful dinner at the main lodge on Saturday night. I think the whole restaurant was either in love with Kylie or Conner at some point or another, it made us feel great as parents and very proud.

His first time with Spaghetti, thanks for sharing Kylie!

By the end of the night Conner was getting very tired so Jay let him dip his spoon in Jay's ranch dressing. He kept him content for at least 15 minutes! We had a great time with great company. We look forward to returning to Sunriver and we look forward to more vacations with the Stewarts!

Polar Express in Hood River

This past week/weekend we went to Hood River, OR and then onto Sunriver, OR. Conner figured out a new toy while we were packing on Wednesday night! He thought it was quite great. When we got home on Sunday, he immediately climbed into the empty bag and looked at Jay, he was ready to go around again!
Jay tried all his beanies on Conner before deciding which one's to take!

When we got to Hood River we stopped at a coffee shop and had a little snack before we got on the train. Amber and the kids joined us on the train, we had a BLAST!

The train arrived at the depot and Conner got very excited!

We were at the front of the train on the top level, it was great!!! Conner did extremely well considering we had sat in the car most of the day. We had a table to ourselves, it was really nice.

Of course, he loved the whip cream. They served hot chocolate and cookies about half way through the train ride "North" then they read the "Polar Express". When we reached the "North Pole" Santa and the elves got on the train.

Conner made sure he tested every cookie!

Conner did surprisingly well with this Santa. He didn't sit on his lap but he took the bell that Santa gave him and he actually smiled at him. Jay and I were pleased. On the way back to the depot, everyone on the train sang Christmas Carols. We had a wonderful time. After we got off the train we started the 4 hour drive to Sunriver!

Reindeer & Christmas Trees

Saturday afternoon, Jay took Conner and I to Beaver Bark to get our Christmas tree. If you go on the weekends Santa is there and the reindeer. Luckily I remembered to take apples so the reindeer came right to Conner and I. Conner, as you can see, is not a fan of Santa this year. Jay tried to put him on his lap but that wasn't going to happen. He was even afraid to sit next to him. I don't think I will attempt the mall Santa at all this year!

We almost didn't go to Beaver Bark because it was 30 degrees and Conner is just getting over a cold.

And before he fed the apple to the reindeer he tried to feed him his binky!

Conner sampled the apple first, just to make sure it was ok for the reindeer! We got a beautiful tree while we were there. We put it up that night and decorated it on Sunday. So far, Conner has only brought me one ornament off the tree. Hopefully we won't have to many incidents with the tree this year. Sunday night we went to dinner with my Uncle Louie & Aunt Jane. They treated us to Anthony's, which was wonderful. We had a great time! Thank you Uncle Louie & Aunt Jane, we love you!

Thanksgiving Part 2

We had Thanksgiving at our house again this year so I was really bad about taking photo's. Luckily, I saw my mother-in-law at our company Christmas party on Friday night and she gave me a cd of photo's from the day, so here they are!
Conner with Auntie Shaila

Jay and his sister

Wouldn't you know it, its freezing outside and now he's interested in the sand box!

Conner is totally into being swung by his feet. Chris(Shaila's boyfriend) was kind enough to make Conner's day!

And then daddy had to step in, it's not easy swinging 27 lbs for 15 minutes or more. Depending on if Conner's done!

Memay and Grandma

Getting ready to eat, Jay carved the turkey and took the extra effort to extract the wishbone perfectly! Great job babe!!

The Park

Last Sunday Jay and I took Conner to the park that is right next to our house. Jay pushed him in his little red car. We had quite the time getting him to the park, as you can see in the video below he would drag his feet and the car wouldn't move. It was hilarious! We had a great afternoon at the park!!

Auntie Erin's Birthday

The day after Thanksgiving we went to my sister's house for her birthday dinner. Conner was so tired from two day's of visitors that he just sat and watched tv with Papa. Happy Birthday Auntie Erin!

When Conner goes to my sisters house, this is what he does! Our child is obsessed with vacuums!
