Boys

This would be Conner having a Tootsie Pop. They are reserved for two occasions, #1 when he gets a hair cut & #2 when I need to cut his fingernails and toenails (and I attempt to clean the ears)! Otherwise Jay and I have to pin him down.
This is what happens when I take a bath and Conner is let lose, thanks daddy! I was studying to take my contractors license in Oregon and Conner managed to get up on the kitchen table, highlight for me, then he put the pen back exactly how he found it. He must have thought he could get away with it if the pen looked unmoved!

Conner has always gone for a binky but we think Jack might be a thumb guy!

Again... our fascination with adult shoes.
Last night we gave Jack his first bath. His umbilical cord still hasn't fallen off and he is 4 weeks old today so we decided to give him a bath to help aid in the release. I am thinking it will be off by tomorrow.

Conner is fascinated with wearing Jay and I's shoes. He usually goes in our closet and chooses a pair. He is also into this dramatic fall you will see in the clip.

Cartoons

Jay's Grandpa Huff sends us cartoons when he thinks of us. We just received these two last week and he was right... they completely fit Jay and I. The second cartoon especially, Jay wants to travel to Brazil to see his Aunt. The cartoon sums it up for me!!! I do wish that we lived closer to Jay's family so they could see the boys more. Thank you Grandpa Huff for your kind words and cartoons, we love you lots!

Riding the Horsey

Little did I know, Conner figured out what to do with his horse that Grandma & Grandpa got him for his birthday. I was vacuuming in his room yesterday when he came running in, jumped on the horse, and went to town! When Jay got home, I brought the horse into the living room so he could show daddy. Jay and I got a really good laugh out of the whole thing.

Our First Week at Home

This picture was actually the night before I went into labor. Jay took Conner on his first bike ride of this year!! The helmet actually fit nicely and they had a great time!
One day when I was nursing Jack, Conner decided to dump my jewelry box. Since I couldn't do much about it, he had a great time.
Saturday morning Jay had a small welding job he had to go do so the boys and I spent some time just playing in the living room. Conner has adjusted extremely well to his new little brother. When Jay got back, he and Uncle Mike took Conner to the Monster trucks at the TRAC. Auntie Erin got them good seats, a checkered flag for Conner, and a monster truck toy. We weren't sure how well he would do but he did awesome. Jay said he refused to wear head phones but the noise didn't bug him. Jay said he was very serious the entire time.
After they got done at the Monster Trucks, Jay had another small weld job so he took Conner with him. Conner was in a great mood when he got home and Jay said they had a wonderful day. I had a great day just running errands with Jack. I forget how nice it is to run errands with an infant that just sleeps in the car seat the entire time.
Tonight Conner decided he wanted to wear his safety glasses. Silly boy!!!
We got Conner's hair cut this last Thursday. We decided to go big boy short because his hair grows so fast!
After he got done being goofy, I found him in Jay and I's bedroom watching "Calliou". Its his favorite show for the time being if you can't tell.
This pictures says it all, he wants to be just like his daddy!!! Jay has been bringing home a trailer behind the Dodge the majority of this week (and I guess the past couple months). Conner has used his train caboose to "attach" it to his car. Its hilarious, he drives forward then gets out and pulls the trailer up to the back of the car. He sure does love his daddy! Overall, we have adjusted well to the new addition to our family.

March 2nd 2010

March 2nd 2010 at 3:44pm Jay and I were very excited to meet Jack Jay Brantingham. He was 8 pounds .07 ounces and 21 inches long. He is very healthy and a wonderful addition to our family! Labor was similar to Conner's but not as quick as Conner.

Grandma Brantingham and Daddy!
Grandpa Brantingham & Daddy!

Auntie Erin is known for her "treats" (usually candy that she has in her pocket), hence the chocolate in Conner's mouth.

Uncle Brock or "Uncle Bach" as Conner would say!

Memay and the boys!!! Memay stayed with us for the week and it was the second greatest blessing, Jack being the first!! Thank you mom!

Jack and I ended up staying in the hospital till Saturday afternoon because Jack ran a temperature on Thursday. It was mild and ended up being nothing but the Dr. was taking extra precaution.

This was our first evening home and we were all so excited to be home with Jack.
Conner has adjusted to Jack very well. Jay and I were both really surprised.

I will try to be better about posting as soon as this week is over. I am playing catch up while trying to adjust to our new family. Thank you to everyone who came to the hospital, sent flowers & gifts, and a special thank you to my mom for all her love and patience with me in the hospital. And a big I LOVE YOU and thank you to my wonderful husband for putting up with me in labor, I know I was a treat. I love you Jay.

Jack Jay Brantingham Has Arrived

Jack Jay Brantingham was born Tuesday March 2nd at 3:44pm. He was 8 pounds .07 ounces and was 21inches long. We are doing fairly well. I was discharged today but they moved Jack to pediatrics. He was running a temperature this afternoon so they will be giving Jack antibotics for the next two days. Please keep us in your prayers. I will post an update and pics when we arrive home!
