First Steps

Conner took his first steps on Saturday night. Jay and I were watching tv and Conner let go of the recliner and headed to the coach. Jay and I were both excited, he didn't even lean as he got close to the coach. Sunday he continued to show us his ability to take steps by himself. Its just a matter of time before hes completely mobile.

Growing Up So Fast

Just in the past three weeks it seems like Conner has grown up so much. He talks gibberish almost all day and is climbing and crawling everywhere. He is almost standing on his own so Jay and I think he will be walking in no time. Cousin Iva stayed with us on Tuesday and Wednesday and Conner had a blast. It was a great break for me as well, Iva is a wonderful entertainer! We look forward to her coming back soon.

These two pictures totally remind me of my brother Brock when he was this age!!

Relaxing Weekend

This weekend Jay loaded up the bikes and we went for a bike ride along the river. We stopped to feed the ducks and geese. Conner was more into eating the bread himself then feeding it to the ducks and geese. Jay didn't work this weekend so we were lazy and just enjoyed being home. On Sunday night we went to Kylie's first birthday. Jessica did an awesome job with games and decorations. We had a great time seeing there ranch, we took a dirt road there so it was gorgeous.

Coeur d' Alene

This weekend Jay didn't have to work so we decided to get out of town for the weekend. Jay surprised us by coming home at 9am on Friday and we were on the road by 10am. We stopped by Cabela's on our way to Coeur d'Alene. Jay was in heaven and Conner enjoyed all the stuffed animals and live fish. On Saturday we took Conner to Silverwood (above).
He didn't last long on the train ride!
It was very hot that day but Conner did great and Jay got to ride all the big roller coasters.

We ate at Red Robin when we first arrived in Coeur d' Alene.

Conner was in a really good mood because he slept all the way till we got to Spokane.

Daddy caught some great shots of Conner while he was relaxing in the room. We stayed at the Coeur d' Alene resort. Right out front was three different events going on that weekend so there was plenty for us to do.

There weren't many rides for Conner to enjoy, Jay can't wait till he's 4ft so he can go on everything with Daddy!

Jay thinks this photo is great cause you can see his peaches and teeth! We sure do love our "Daddy Man"!!!
He doesn't look anything like Daddy does he!?!?!?!?!?!
We had a great time in Coeur d' Alene. Conner was a doll at dinner's and besides that he didn't sleep very much the last night, we enjoyed our weekend away. Conner had his 1 year checkup on Thursday and was in the 80th or higher percentile in every category! He was very healthy so it was a pretty boring visit. Jay got away from work to go and he got quite the experience, Conner got 4 shots that day! I am sure he will never forget that visit (I have gotten used to the "shot" visits). All is well at the Brantingham's. Our final due date for #2 is March 11. We can't wait!!

Conner's 1st Birthday!

Uncle Brock and Memay & Papa came early so Conner got to spend some quality time with them before the party began. It was great for me because I got to tie up all the lose ends.
Jay worked really hard all afternoon to prepare the shrimp & the bbq's.

By the time Conner started opening presents he was very tired so Corinne helped him. She is a great little helper.

Kylie also helped Conner. Conner and Kylie had quite the time playing together before everyone ate. We wished she lived closer!

Uncle Louie and Aunt Jane (my Aunt and Uncle) got Conner his first Jack-In-the-Box. He is quite fascinated with it.

Jay and I got Conner the sand box for his birthday. He still isn't quite sure of the sand and its been really hot here so we haven't used it much.

And then it was time for cake!

Auntie Erin fed him cake while Jessica, Brooke, Traci and I cut and served the cake.

Conner's party was fish themed so I made a three layer from scratch cake. The bottom and top layers were chocolate. And the middle was vanilla.

Conner's 1st birthday turned out wonderful. We had alot of family and friends to help us celebrate. He got spoiled in the presents department. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us. Happy First Birthday Conner, Mommy and Daddy love you lots.
And a special thanks to my sister for the wonderful flowers to remind me of the birth of my first child!!

Boat Race Weekend

This last weekend the hydro races were in the Tri-Cities. We took Conner with us and our neighbors Brooke and Cameron. Jay sister was also in town for Conner's birthday so she came along with us. Conner is very into drinking out of water bottles and trying to put the lids on and off.

He was a very happy camper on Sunday. We got to the races at 11am and left around 4:30pm. He only took a 20 minute nap and was a wonderful boy!

Conner loves going across the street to see our neighbors whenever they are outside. (Brooke is our neighbor)

Conner is fascinated with shiny cans. Either that or he like beer!

We had a wonderful day at the boat races. It was a long weekend because we were preparing for Conner's 1st Birthday on Monday.
