Just the Three of Us

This weekend Jay worked very little so that we could spend what might be our last weekend as the three of us. Jay worked in the morning on Saturday then came home around lunch time. We decided to take Conner to Toys R Us to look at the bikes and to pick out a new truck. Conner is obsessed with bikes right now so we let him ride a tricycle around the store for a while then we let him pick out a new truck that we are hiding until baby Jack arrives. We also bought Conner a basketball hoop for in the back yard. He is great at it!!! Jay also got Conner his first real measuring tape at Sears.

On Sunday, Jay took us to Cousins for breakfast and then he and Conner played outside. When they came in Jay was so excited because Conner fell asleep with him on the big boy bed in Jack's room. It was adorable. Once they got up we had a little lunch then we went to the park. Conner had a blast on the swings and then he went down the slide all by himself which was a big deal. Cypress was all about going down the slide as well. It was pretty hilarious. We had a GREAT weekend with Daddy home.

As the weekend comes to a close we are very anxious to meet Baby Jack. Hopefully it won't be to much longer. I am excited to see how Conner reacts and I am excited to see who/how Jack looks. We hope everyone had a great weekend and we will keep you posted as to when our little Jack arrives!

Still No Jack

I had my 38 week checkup today and we have made no progress towards labor. The Doctor says I have a "boring" pregnancy! Jay and I are very anxious for this baby to be here so hearing that we will have to wait at least another week was a little disappointing to hear. The Doctor said we could set a date to induce labor next week but I would rather wait for little Jack to decide on his own when he wants to come. So the waiting continues.....

CRF Progress/Baby Jack No Progress

I was hoping that my next post would be that baby Jack has arrived, but he has not! We are anxiously awaiting his arrival. On a high note, Jay's new shop is coming along quite well. He is enjoying every minute and his mom is doing a wonderful job documenting the progress with photos!

The New CRF

Jay and his employees started erecting the steel on his new shop this last Thursday. Jay is like a kid in a candy store, we can barely get him to come home anymore!! I am very happy for him and his achievements!!! This shop has been well deserved for a long time coming!!! We are very proud of you and happy for you dear! Conner and I have been patiently waiting at home for the arrival of baby Jack. My mom came and stayed with us and helped clean up my house this week. It was wonderful, thank you Memay, we love you lots!!!

Missing Daddy

Jay has been working a shut down since Saturday so Conner and I having been trying to fill our days to pass the time. Conner is starting to get really cranky today because he hasn't got to see his daddy much. Last night when Jay got home Conner decided to wear his welding helmet around the house. He usually puts it on for ten seconds but last night it was like it was part of his outfit. His daddy was very proud!

For Valentines Day We got Conner a truck that matches a couple of different trucks he already has. They are eco friendly and light up with no batteries, you just have to push them like crazy. He was totally into unwrapping it then his juice ran out and he crashed. He had an early morning nap then he didn't have an afternoon nap because Jay's mom came and visited and so did my sister and her husband. Jay and I had a quite Valentine's evening, but it was so nice!

Saturday

Today has been a low-key day for Conner and I. Jay is working a shut-down today through Tuesday so Conner and I are trying to fill our days to pass the time until Jay gets home. Yesterday I had my 36 week checkup for baby Jack. My fluid levels were low so they took an in-room ultrasound. It showed that the levels were better than what they expected but they saw that Jack's intestine's are dilated. So, I am trying to take it super easy for the rest of the pregnancy. They scheduled an ultrasound for next Thursday to see if the condition improves and if not then they will decide what needs to happen. So, this morning Conner helped me and we dipped strawberries in chocolate and then glazed them. As I was putting Conner down for a nap, the florist stopped by with yet another AMAZING floral arrangement from my AMAZING husband. Thank you for the wonderful flowers Jay, they are amazing and made my day!!! Conner is missing his daddy but we are thankful for all the work the business is receiving. I am looking forward to Jacks birth for two reasons... one I can't wait to meet the new addition to my wonderful family and two... Jay gets to be with us during the day!!! Yeah!!! Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Our Little Builder

Besides playing in anything that has a steering wheel, Conner has been playing with alot of blocks and tools. He welds constantly on anything that has screws. Today, he spent the afternoon drilling and stacking blocks.
